Spacex Starship Explosion- A Successful Failure
SpaceX’s Starship, a powerful rocket designed to take humans to Mars, exploded midair on its first test flight on Thursday. The rocket was in its ascent phase when it experienced multiple engine failures and lost altitude, tumbling toward the ground. The mission was terminated when the vehicle reached about 24.2 miles (39 kilometers) above the ground. SpaceX said the test flight still achieved some objectives, including clearing the launchpad and learning valuable information that will improve Starship’s reliability. SpaceX CEO Elon Musk congratulated his team on what he called an “exciting test launch” and expressed confidence that the company would reach orbit this year or next.
