The Queen of Rock’n’Roll- Tina Turner: Tina Turner was a pioneering rock and roll singer who became a pop icon in the 1980s. She was born Anna Mae Bullock on November 26, 1939, in Nutbush, Tennessee. She began singing in church as a child and later joined Ike Turner’s band, the Kings of Rhythm. In 1960, the couple married and began performing together as Ike & Tina Turner. They released a string of hit singles, including “A Fool in Love” and “River Deep – Mountain High.”
